These 18k rose gold hoop earrings, decorated with a rhombic ball that is part of the closure, were very typical for folklore jewellery throughout France in the 18th and 19th Century. They thread through the ear from the back of the lobe and therefore close at the front. 


GENERAL INFORMATION 

Size: 32 mm / 1 4/8th inches diameter. The rhombic balls have a diameter of 9 mm.

Weight: combined 3.16 grams.

Age: 19th Century, also known as the Victorian era, circa 1840s. 

Material: These earrings have been hallmarked with French hallmarks for 18k gold, used outside Paris between 1838 and 1847. 

Condition: In good condition with only minor wear, consistent with their age.
